We have stayed in lots of B and Bs over the last 40 years but this one was the best ever
“From the moment we stepped into Rose Cottage we knew that we had chosen very well but didn’t know how well! Rebecca greeted us very warmly and, within minutes , she had made us tea and offered us a slice of cake. The accommodation was most certainly excellent. We have stayed in lots of B and Bs over the last 40 years but this one was the best ever. Never before have we had a lounge as well as a delightful bedroom with such a comfortable bed. We so enjoyed the spacious bathroom. The décor is superb throughout and the accommodation is spotless. The breakfast was delicious. We promise to return in the spring or summer of 2016. It will probably be our most memorable B and B ever! Thank you, Rebecca ……”K
... with your own suite of rooms, it’s like a self catering cottage, but with a quite exceptional breakfast...
“Rose Cottage – The accommodation is extremely comfortable and with your own suite of rooms, it’s like a self catering cottage, but with a quite exceptional breakfast thrown in each morning! Located in the charming and very quiet Gloucestershire village of Shipton Moyne the cottage is next door but one to the local pub, which serves fine beer and good lunches – most convenient. But the icing on the cake is the splendid welcome and service that you receive from the owner Rebecca. Nothing is too much trouble for her and she makes your stay a most convivial one. Quite simply the best B & B we have ever stayed in.”
... the most tranquil place I've woken up in for a very long time
“A friendly welcome, excellent accommodation, a very comfortable bed and the most tranquil place I've woken up in for a very long time. Woke up, opened the window to listen to the birds, and hens in the garden. Breakfast was delicious, excellent value for money...“
You don't often get a separate room to sit in or your own garden area...
“What a fabulous warm welcome and relaxed place to stay. The owner has done a magnificent job of keeping the extremely old cottage features but with a high quality, luxury finish. You don't often get a walk-in shower in a BnB and you don't often get a separate room to sit in or your own garden area...“
... a week of first class accommodation...
“I would like to recommend a B&B at Shipton Moyne ("just around the corner" from Westonbirt). Rebecca is a great hostess… for a week of first class accommodation...“
... fed us well with your breakfast to set us up each day.

Both Vera and I would like to give a big thank you for making our short stay with you so interesting and friendly. We found the bedroom and sitting room a pleasant surprise and you fed us well with your breakfast to set us up each day.
We really enjoyed our chats with you and hope to visit you again.
Our overall verdict is a 10.

Awh. Staying at Rose Cottage was just lovely, lovely, lovely. We instantly felt at home and were made to feel very, very welcome. The accommodation is nicely situated, to the back of the main living area of the cottage and is very private, spaced over two floors with a separate bathroom and bedroom. Rebecca has created the perfect space, with so many lovely personal touches. Very intimate, homely and stylish. Breakfast was just yummy. Thanks for a lovely Airbnb experience :) We would love to return.
