“From the moment we stepped into Rose Cottage we knew that we had chosen very well but didn’t know how well! Rebecca greeted us very warmly and, within minutes , she had made us tea and offered us a slice of cake. The accommodation was most certainly excellent. We have stayed in lots of B and Bs over the last 40 years but this one was the best ever. Never before have we had a lounge as well as a delightful bedroom with such a comfortable bed. We so enjoyed the spacious bathroom. The décor is superb throughout and the accommodation is spotless. The breakfast was delicious. We promise to return in the spring or summer of 2016. Located in the charming and very quiet Gloucestershire village of Shipton Moyne the cottage is next door but one to the local pub, which serves fine beer and good lunches – most convenient. But the icing on the cake is the splendid welcome and service that you receive from the owner Rebecca. Nothing is too much trouble for her and she makes your stay a most convivial one. Quite simply the best B & B we have ever stayed in.”

Awh. Staying at Rose Cottage was just lovely, lovely, lovely. We instantly felt at home and were made to feel very, very welcome. The accommodation is nicely situated, to the back of the main living area of the cottage and is very private, spaced over two floors with a separate bathroom and bedroom. Rebecca has created the perfect space, with so many lovely personal touches. Very intimate, homely and stylish. Breakfast was just yummy. We had a wonderful mid July stay. Rebecca is a very gracious and generous host Nothing is too much trouble. Breakfasts are excellent. Beautiful suite with own private patio and use of the garden an added and much appreciated bonus. Nothing has been overlooked including the spa products in the bathroom.

Places to visit
The gardens of Highgrove are truly stunning and are a must on any visitors list. The Highgrove estate also has a shop in Tetbury.
Explore the magnificent landscape of Westonbirt Arboretum with over 18000 trees and shrubs from across the world. Captain Robert Holford planted his first trees when Princess Victoria was only 10 years old.
The city of Bath is only 23 miles away and easily accessible by car.
Castle Coombe is one of the prettiest villages in England, much filmed in TV costume dramas, as is Lacock. Both are within easy reach of Shipton Moyne.
Cirencester, the capital of the Cotswolds is 13 miles away.
